A late-night order, the hour when most kitchens in town have given up and you are left choosing between regret and nothing. Easy Bites, on Envera Šehovića 12 in Malta, is the answer to that problem.
Big Crispy Bites
This is the fried chicken sandwich, and I have ordered it more times than I would like to admit. The reason is simple: every time I order it, it delivers. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and the kind of consistency you can only build by doing the same thing right, over and over. 12 KM.
Consistency is the most underrated ingredient in any kitchen.
The Bomb Sandwich
Sausage, cabbage, onions and a mustard sauce. Before you say it — no, this is not a hot dog. It is its own thing: the sausage brings the weight, the cabbage and onions bring crunch and sweetness, and the mustard ties it all together. A genuinely unique sandwich. 11 KM.
The math
This is where Easy Bites really wins. Both sandwiches are big — properly big — and at 11 and 12 KM that is great value. You are not paying for decoration, you are paying for a full stomach.
Verdict
The Big Crispy Bites goes straight onto my podium: third place among Sarajevo's sandwiches. The Bomb is the one to order when you want something different. I will keep coming back — probably late at night.
